I had the following text message exchange on Friday night with one of my phone boys. He's relatively new in my life, but seems super nice and lots of fun. Apparently he hasn't stored my number in his phone yet, so my name doesn't pop up when I text, just my number...

me Hey hot stuff. I just got your memo. You at work?
DL: running around
me ok
DL: what'cha up to sexy?
me Nothing. Just around. I had a really long day today and now I'm sort of too tired to sleep
DL: everytime I smell that perfume I get horny thinking about you ;)
me what perfume?
DL: the perfume you put on the letter
me what letter?
DL: what do you mean, what perfume?
me I didn't say what perfume, I said what letter?
DL: the blue thing, with the butterflies for Valentine's Day?
me That wasn't me.
DL: who is this?

DL: weird... thought you were someone else, sorry lol ;)

DL: don't worry, I must sound so stupid. glad you messaged me ;)
me you sent me a memo after I messaged you. I guess you thought I was someone else, which is just what every girl wants to hear
DL: awww sorry... the someone else is way too damn far away and she's crazy and not serious at all
me ok. Not like we're serious or anything either, I just want to know that you know who you're talking to
DL: ok... glad it's you instead ;)

At first I was pretty upset, but I got over it pretty quickly and now I'm just amused by the whole thing. But I did tell him to store my number so he'd know it was me next time I sent him a message.
